The Department of History and Politics at Marymount University, Arlington, VA invites applications for a tenure-track position in Modern (18th to 20th centuries) Western European History (excluding Britain) at the Assistant Professor level to begin in August 2015.
Teaching responsibilities will include the Modern European History survey course as well as upper-division courses on 19th Century Europe, 20th Century Europe, and France since 1815.
Applicants who can also teach Research and Writing, as well as Senior Seminar, are particularly desired. The ability to introduce a new course on The French Revolution and Napoleonic Europe and Atlantic history are also desired.
The standard teaching load is 3/3.
- Applicants must have a PhD or provide assurance that it will be completed by August 2015.
