Post -1945 U.S. History within a global context. Teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. Preference will be given to candidates whose research and teaching lie in Cold War diplomacy, Environmental history or Economic history. The ability to teach courses in public history, especially courses in any of the following (archives, oral history, digital history, or historic preservation)is highly desirable. Teach modern U.S. history survey course and undergraduate and graduate courses in their areas of specialization. Summer school teaching is possible and familiarity with on-line course delivery is desirable.
Strong commitment to excellence in teaching and advising, an active and productive research agenda, and service to the University that will enable the candidate to meet the criteria for promotion and tenure in the department.
