The Clarkson University Department of Humanities and Social Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in Film Studies. We seek candidates with research interests in non-Western film and the ability to teach undergraduate courses in global cinema, as well as more general film studies courses. The successful candidate will combine film study with a field, period, or genre of non-Western literary study, including the ability to offer literature courses in that area. The ordinary teaching load is three courses (usually two preparations) per semester, including each fall two sections of a first-year, writing-intensive course, focused on a theme of the applicant’s choosing. There is ample opportunity for course development in electives. The successful candidate will have published scholarship and evidence of excellence in the classroom. PhD required by September 1st, 2015.
Review of applications will begin December 3rd. To apply, visit https://clarkson.peopleadmin.com/.
