The Department of History of the University of Alabama invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Colonial Latin America. The successful candidate will be expected to teach upper-level and graduate courses in the field of specialization as well as Latin American surveys. The Department and University emphasize excellence in teaching as well as scholarship. Normal teaching load is two courses per semester. Ph.D. must be in hand by time of appointment.
