Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month tenure-track Assistant Professor of History and Interdisciplinary Studies. This position is a joint appointment in the Department of History and Philosophy and the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies. Applicants should possess expertise in the study of gender and history, with an expectation of teaching Women’s History and courses in the Gender and Women’s Studies program. The ideal candidate will have an ability to teach in other interdisciplinary programs as well as general education courses as appropriate. A commitment to excellence in teaching, complemented by strong scholarship and service, is expected of all faculty members in KSU’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences. A Ph.D. in History, Gender Studies, or related field, or the foreign equivalent, or its equivalent in training, ability and/or experience is required, as well as a record of effective university teaching and demonstrated potential for research.
