The Department of History at Texas A&M University invites applications for the appointment of a senior scholar as the Melbern G. Glasscock Chair in American History. All relevant specializations will be considered. The successful candidate will have an established record of distinguished scholarship; maintain an ambitious, productive research agenda; teach two courses per semester; recruit, train, and place exceptional graduate students; provide leadership in university and professional affairs; and be qualified for appointment as a tenured professor with a Ph.D. in history.
