The Department of History at the University of Alabama at Birmingham invites applicants for a 9-month, tenure-earning Assistant Professor position in Modern Russian and Cultural History, with a concentration on the pre-1917 period. The successful applicant must have a Ph.D. at the time of appointment and be able to teach the World History and Western Civilization surveys, as well as upper level and graduate courses in the field of specialization. UAB is a research university and faculty are expected to be actively engaged in research and publication.
