Charles Redd Center Assistant/Associate Director (Open Rank): Continuing Faculty Status professional faculty track (tenure track equivalent) appointment at Brigham Young University, to begin 2015. PhD or terminal professional degree required. Applications are welcome from candidates whose training and research focus upon Western American Studies in any academic discipline. Responsibilities include promoting the study of the American West through scholarship, including the creation and collection of resources for scholars and students; supervising and mentoring students working on Center projects; teaching a maximum of two courses per year; working with the Center Director and Board to plan and carry out Center activities and programs; and providing professional service and outreach. Candidates with experience in public humanities, oral history or digital history are especially encouraged to apply. Salary commensurate with experience and rank.
