The Department of History at the University of West Georgia invites applications for a one year assistant professor appointment in public history beginning August 1, 2014 Responsibilities include teaching U.S. History surveys and graduate and undergraduate public history courses, supervising internships, and working with community and public agencies through the University’s Center for Public History. Ph.D. in History or American Studies with public history experience required. Experience in digital history or new media desirable. The department will begin reviewing applications on June 5, and will continue until the position is filled.
