The Faculty of Humanities at the University of Tuebingen invites qualified applicants for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor (W 1) of Korean Studies with a focus on culture and/or society of Korea, primarily based on disciplinary research in the Humanities. The position is initially limited to four years, with the possibility of extension by a further two years.
The chosen candidate will be requested to teach four hours per week (six hours in the last two years) during the Fall and Spring semester.
Requirements for appointment are sound expertise in Korean Studies, an excellent PhD dissertation, publications, teaching experience as well as excellent command of the Korean and English language (spoken and written).
