The Department of History at Eastern Oregon University invites applications for a full-time Visiting Instructor of U.S. History. Position will begin in the fall of 2014 and is a one-year sabbatical replacement.
The History faculty seeks a colleague with a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and an active research agenda who can offer upper-division courses in areas of his or her expertise as well as surveys in U.S. and World history. Training and teaching experience in any subfield of U.S. history (excluding labor, immigration, and the American West) is desirable, as is a specialist in women’s history.
Ph.D. in History preferred but advanced doctoral candidates will be considered.
PhD must be from a regionally accredited institution or foreign equivalent. U.S. citizenship or current resident status is required.
Online teaching experience preferred, as the position will require both online and on-campus teaching. Ph.D. in History preferred but advanced doctoral candidates will be considered.
