The Department of History at the University of West Florida invites applications for a one-year, 9-month, Visiting Assistant Professor position (position 120440). Specialization is open, although the department has special interest in candidates with the ability to teach course(s) in African, Asian, Latin American or Middle-Eastern history. Other areas of interest may include, but need not be limited to public history or historic preservation. In addition to teaching two survey courses, the successful candidate will teach two courses per semester in the scholar's specialization. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed the dissertation and who have a record of successful teaching. PhD is required and must show a record of successful teaching.
