The University is seeking to appoint an outstanding individual as Professor or Associate Professor of Social Work to provide academic leadership in teaching, research and community engagement in social work and undertake teaching and collaborative research in an area of research strength including: intercultural social work, risk, homelessness and the final stages of life. The social work program has a focus on social justice and human rights as core social work values.
Applicants will have a PhD and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers as well as a significant record of teaching, research and/or professional achievement in social work. Strong commitment to quality teaching and effective research training, demonstrated success in generating funding from a range of sources and proven leadership and effective relationship management skills are considered essential.
This is a continuing position located in Launceston. Travel to other campuses is required.
