With a new director in place who seeks to raise the national and international profile of the oldest and largest anthropology museum in the Southwest, the Arizona State Museum (ASM) invites applications for the next Head of Collections. The position is continuing-eligible (tenure-track equivalent) at the rank of assistant or associate curator (depending on credentials and experience). The position serves as Head of and provides vision and leadership to the Collections Division, the largest within ASM. In consultation with museum staff, the incumbent will supervise ongoing collections acquisitions, documentation, care, access, and use, while developing institutional policy and pursuing grants and other forms of external funding to ensure the integrity of the collections. The incumbent also will engage in research, education, and public outreach involving these world class collections.
