The History Department at Kenyon College invites applications for a one-year visiting position with a focus on Southeast Asia, beginning July 1, 2014. Subfield and time period are open. The successful candidate will be a Southeast Asia specialist who carries out research using one of the region's languages.
The position carries a five-course teaching load (2:3 or 3:2) which includes courses in the candidate’s area of specialization, as well as courses that contribute to the History Department's curriculum, such as a survey of Southeast Asian History. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to participate in and contribute to the College’s International Studies and Asian Studies programs. Applicants should have teaching experience and either PhD in hand or, if ABD, show significant progress toward the dissertation.
