The Department of Religious Studies at the University of Pittsburgh seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor in the area of philosophy of religion or the history of western religious thought for AY 2014-2015, subject to budgetary approval. This is a one-year replacement appointment outside the tenure-stream. The appointee will be expected to teach two courses each term, including Philosophy of Religion and Religion & Rationality, and to advise senior capstone theses in his or her areas of specialization. Applicants should have a PhD in religious studies or philosophy at the time of appointment.
