Visiting Assistant Professor: Global Environmental History

The Department of History at Oberlin College invites applications for a full-time non-continuing faculty position in the College of Arts and Sciences. Appointment to this position will be for a term of one year, beginning first semester of the 2014-15 academic year, and will carry the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor.
The incumbent will teach a total of five courses in the general area of Global or Transnational Environmental History. Regional specialty open. Specific courses include a one-semester survey of Global Environmental History, and other classes in the candidate’s area of specialization.
Among the qualifications required for appointment is the Ph.D. degree (in hand or expected by August 2014). Candidates must demonstrate interest and potential excellence in undergraduate teaching.
