The Department of Classics and Mediterranean Studies at the University of Illinois - Chicago is seeking a full-time lecturer in Modern Greek Studies to begin Fall 2014. Position will be renewable. The candidate must have Ph.D. at hand and have expertise in Greek history (1821 and later), Greek culture and reception, and modern Greek. Native or near-native competence in modern Greek is required. Background in Classics, previous teaching, and program building is preferred.

Duties: Teaching at the undergraduate level, advising/mentoring students, and program building.
Qualifications: Ph.D and teaching experience in the related topics required. Program building experience preferred.
