Case Western Reserve University invites applications and nominations for a full-time, tenured senior position as the Archbishop Paul J. Hallinan Professor of Catholic Studies. Strong preference will be given to candidates whose distinguished record of scholarship and teaching explores some aspect of global Catholicism. Command of appropriate languages commensurate to an advanced research agenda will be required. The normal teaching load is 2 courses per semester.
The successful candidate will teach courses in Catholic studies, global Catholicism, as well as in theory and method in the academic study of religion. Appointment at the senior level will be in accord with the CWRU Faculty Handbook and the guidelines of the Department of Religious Studies.
