COLONIAL NORTH AMERICA. The Department of History at Wayne State University invites applications for an Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in Colonial North American history to begin August 2014. Wayne State University is a premier urban research institution offering more than 400 academic programs through 13 schools and colleges to nearly 32,000 students. Specialists in the history of the Atlantic World and/or American Indian history are especially welcome. A strong commitment to research and publication and demonstrated teaching excellence are essential. The successful candidate must have earned a Ph.D. in colonial history by August 2014. A candidate with exceptional qualifications will be considered for appointment as a tenured associate or full professor.
