UNE seeks a dynamic, student-centered, creative individual to teach courses in Art History and Studio Art. Candidate should demonstrate an interest in cross and interdisciplinary teaching that reaches across the liberal arts (including potentially the sciences).
Art history and studio art courses support programs in Art and Design Media, Art Education, Art Therapy, Communications, History and the undergraduate core curriculum, in addition to providing electives for undergraduate students. Review of applications will begin on December 1 and continue until position is filled.
The successful candidate will teach the art history survey and contemporary art history, in addition to studio art courses and or interdisciplinary classes. Graduate degree(s) (with Ph.D. preferred) and experience in studio art and art history are requires; demonstrated success in college-level teaching required. One year appointment with the possibility of extension.
