Assistant Professor of History, American Civil War/Reconstruction Era
The Department of History at Oakland University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in American Civil War/Reconstruction Era history to begin in August 2014.
The teaching load is 3/2, and teaching responsibilities include a two semester survey of U.S. history, upper-level and graduate courses in area of specialization, and a seminar in historical methods.
Although ABD's will be considered, the successful candidate must have the Ph.D. in hand by August 15, 2014. Some teaching experience and strong evidence of scholarly potential are required.
