The Department of African-American Studies at Georgia State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor to join our faculty beginning August 2014, pending budgetary approval. The research focus of this position is African-American Health and Wellness, with a preference toward scholarship on Race and Health Disparities. Candidates with a record of sponsored research will receive particular consideration. The faculty member in this position will teach graduate and undergraduate courses. A Ph.D. is required at the time of hire. Review of applications begins November 30, 2013 and the position will remain open until filled.
