Assistant Professor, Ancient History

The History Department at California State University, Chico, invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in Ancient History, beginning in fall 2014.  The successful candidate will be expected to teach a lower-division survey course in world history, History 101: Ancient Civilizations, and courses on Ancient History with specialization in either Greek and/or Roman Civilizations. The Ph.D. is required by August 25, 2014.   Evidence of excellence in teaching and productivity in research and publication are required, along with a demonstrated commitment to program building and service to the larger campus.
