Monmouth College’s Department of History invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor of Early Modern/Modern European History to teach a wide range of courses beginning in August 2014. A demonstrated ability to teach world history is desirable, and the capacity to teach the history of the British Isles is a plus. A background in teacher education is desirable.
The successful candidate will be committed to undergraduate teaching excellence, our unique History curriculum, scholarship, academic advising and the College’s liberal arts mission. Candidates must show enthusiasm for interdisciplinary teaching and for participating in the general education curriculum, including the Introduction to Liberal Arts seminar. The normal Monmouth College teaching load is 3 courses per semester.
