The University of Oklahoma announces a tenure-track position for Assistant Professor of Religious Studies, with a 2/2 teaching load, beginning August 2014. The successful candidate will teach introductory and advanced courses in the Christian religious tradition that complement the specializations of our current faculty, show promise of both scholarly and pedagogical excellence. Ability to teach courses on gender and religion, theory and methods is highly desirable. A completed doctorate or strong evidence of timely completion by the date of appointment is required. The position will be housed in the rapidly expanding interdisciplinary Religious Studies program. Screening begins November 1, 2013, but applications will be considered until the position is filled.
