Full/Associate Professor of Global Anglophone Literatures

The Department of English at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeks an accomplished senior scholar working in the field of global Anglophone literatures to join our intellectually vibrant, highly interdisciplinary department and campus. All approaches to global Anglophone literatures are welcome, but we are particularly seeking scholars whose research and teaching interests include at least one of the following fields: African literatures, Caribbean literatures, transnational approaches to Anglophone literature, postcolonial studies. Comparative and theoretical approaches are welcome, as are interests in areas such as digital humanities, environmental humanities, and disability studies. PhD in English or related field and a demonstrated record of substantial excellence in teaching, research and publication required. Target start date is August 16, 2014.
