The History Department of Reed College seeks a historian of Latin America (specialization open) for a one-year visiting appointment in History and Humanities. In addition to designing and offering courses in Latin American history with a stress on critical historical reading and writing, the appointee will teach in Humanities 110, a team-taught, year-long interdisciplinary course in ancient humanities for first year students (http://academic.reed.edu/humanities/hum110/). Teaching duties also include advising year-long senior theses.
