Middle Eastern History. Full time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Middle Eastern History to start August 2014. All research specializations, geographic areas, and secondary fields will be considered. Responsibilities include teaching Islamic Civilization survey and/or Themes in World History survey, upper division courses in the candidate’s field, and working with graduate students in Master of Arts and Master of Applied Historical Research programs. Ph.D. by the beginning of the appointment, evidence of scholarly potential and a strong commitment to teaching are expected. The History Department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their research, teaching and/or service and who are committed to building a culturally diverse educational environment.
