The Department of Political Science at the University of Oklahoma invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professorship in Comparative Politics with a focus on justice and the rule of law, comparative constitutionalism, human rights, or related institutions. Candidates should demonstrate research accomplishment and the potential for long-term scholarly productivity, the ability to offer undergraduate and graduate courses in their area(s) of expertise, and broad familiarity with the field of Comparative Politics. The position is open with regard to regional focus. The ability to offer undergraduate and graduate courses on Non-Governmental Organizations is desirable. Normal duties consist of teaching four courses each academic year. The appointment begins 16 August 2014. Salary will be competitive. Applicants should have, or be close to completing, a Ph.D. and demonstrate a potential for excellence in teaching and a sustained record of publication.
