Background: Loyola University Chicago (LUC), College of Arts and Sciences, Department of History invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track, position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Minimum Qualifications: Applicants should have a Ph.D. in History, a strong record of excellence in teaching and research, and expertise in environmental history, with a preference for experience in urban history.
Duties and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to teach survey courses in LUC’s core curriculum, upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses in environmental history in their geographic area of expertise, pursue a successful program of research, and engage with Loyola’s new Institute for Environmental Sustainability: http://www.luc.edu/sustainability/iescanvas/.
