The History Department at La Salle University seeks to hire a tenure-track assistant professor in Public History beginning in Fall 2014 (pending final budgetary approval). Applicants must have in hand by the time of appointment a Ph.D. in Public History, or a Ph.D. in American History with substantial Public History experience. The applicant should be prepared to teach undergraduate survey courses in American and / or global history, undergraduate and graduate courses in Public History and field of specialization and should have prior higher education teaching experience. The successful candidate will oversee the graduate program’s concentration in Public History. Preference will be given to candidates who specialize in digital history, urban history, public archaeology or museum studies.
