The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at Washington University in St. Louis invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in Japanese language to begin Fall 2014. The initial term of the appointment will be for one year, with renewal contingent upon performance. Responsibilities include teaching or co-teaching all levels of modern Japanese language and developing teaching materials. Requirements include a minimum of an M.A. in Japanese linguistics, language pedagogy, second-language acquisition or a related field; native or near-native proficiency in Japanese and English; and evidence of experience and commitment to language teaching.
