NYU SHANGHAI
NYU Shanghai is currently inviting applications for an open-ranked position in Global History, with a preference for a scholar whose interests focus on (a) one or more geographical areas other than China and (b) the pre-modern period. We seek a scholar with substantial publications, active research, and demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching. Review of applications will begin November 1, 2013 and will continue until the position is filled.
The terms of employment are comparable to U.S. institutions. Faculty may also spend time at NYU New York and other sites of the global network, engaging in both research and teaching opportunities. Tenure/tenure-track candidates may also serve as members of the NYU New York Department of History. The appointment will begin as soon as August 1, 2014, with a later start date possible pending candidate availability.
