Job Description:
The department of History at Westfield State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in U.S. History since 1920. While specialty is open, special consideration will be given to candidates with an expertise in U.S. global relations, immigration, ethnicity, political history, public history or constitutional history. Typical semester involves, 1 upper level elective and 3 sections of US History to 1865 as well as rotation in the Masters of Education.
The position will begin with the Fall 2014 semester. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in U.S. History and must demonstrate promise for excellence in teaching and student advising.
