The History Department at Colby College invites applications for a tenure-track position in comparative world history, beginning September 1, 2014. The department has a strong preference for applicants whose research centers on regions beyond the Atlantic World. The successful candidate, who must have completed all requirements for the Ph.D. by the start of the appointment, will normally teach five courses per year, including two sections per year of HI 276: Patterns and Processes in World History, a required course for all History and Global Studies majors. The other courses will be determined in consultation with the History Department chair.
