Assistant Professor of Early Modern European History. Tenure-track appointment for the 2014-2015 academic year. PhD in hand from accredited institution in History preferred; ABD considered. Will teach courses in Early Modern European history and areas of specialization. Applications are encouraged from candidates with interests in the history of science, religion, or global networks. All full-time faculty in our department teach lower-level liberal studies courses, upper-level/graduate courses, and play significant roles in implementing the university’s Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP). Western Carolina University is a 10,000-student campus in the University of North Carolina system that offers 120 areas of study for undergraduates and more than 50 graduate-level programs. The Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools accredits WCU to award baccalaureate, masters, education specialist, and doctoral degrees.
