Assistant Professor of Practice in History: The History Department at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln seeks candidates for an assistant professor of practice in History, to begin August 2014, to teach both classroom and online undergraduate courses and serve as the Department's coordinator of digital pedagogy. Professors of Practice enjoy faculty status (non tenure track) and have the opportunity to be promoted in rank from assistant to associate and full. This position is a three-year renewable appointment with a 3-3 teaching load. Field is open. Ph.D. in History and demonstrated experience teaching with technology at the undergraduate level required, with preferred experience in online teaching. Responsibilities include coordinating online offerings, creating models of best practices in digital pedagogy, and creating innovative partnerships that build on our commitment to digital research in the humanities.
