The Department of Women's and Gender Studies at Dickinson College invites applicants for a tenure-track assistant professor beginning August 2014. Ability to teach all core courses in women’s and gender studies (introduction, methods and theories, senior seminar) is required as well as the ability to create an inclusive classroom environment for an increasingly diverse student body. The position involves a five-course teaching load per year. We are especially interested in candidates able to teach a course (or courses) in transnational/global feminist studies; other relevant areas include sustainability and gender; sexualities studies; digital/media/pop culture studies and gender; and health and gender. We will begin reviewing applications immediately and plan to conduct preliminary interviews at the NWSA conference in November.
