The University of Oklahoma invites applications for an assistant professor, tenure track position, in the history of women in the American West (chronological emphasis open). In addition to graduate and undergraduate courses on the history of women in the West, with a teaching load of two courses per semester, teaching responsibilities will include regular offerings of the U.S. Survey. Candidates must also be willing to teach Oklahoma history but are not expected to have training in this field at time of application. Fields of preferred expertise include (but are not limited to), Chicana, Asian-American, race-relations, Borderlands, transnational, global comparative, and public history. PhD must be in hand by start date, August 16, 2014.
