The Departments of African and African American Studies and Anthropology seek to appoint a tenure-track professor in Africanist social anthropology, with preference for Francophone and Lusophone areas. Ph.D must be in hand prior to appointment, which is expected to begin on July 1, 2014, preferably at the rank of assistant professor. Demonstrated excellence in teaching is desired.
