The Department of History at Stanford University is seeking applicants for a tenure track Assistant Professor in U.S. History, Post-1800, with a focus in the area of Political Economy. Areas of interest include but are not limited to: political and economic history, and the relationship between them; the history of capitalism; America’s relationship with the world; and the history of social and intellectual movements as they bear on questions of political economy. Applicants will be expected to teach courses at both the graduate and undergraduate level in their specialized fields, as well as in the department’s U.S. History sequence.
