East Asian History, Assistant Professor

The History Department at Rutgers University-Camden seeks a full-time tenure-track faculty member specializing in East Asian history (time period open) beginning September 1, 2014 at the rank of Assistant Professor. Applicants must have the Ph.D. degree in hand at time of appointment. The successful applicant will teach a 2/2 load, including a survey of Asian history; contribute to campus programs and the global history track in the History M.A. program; and be held to standards for tenure and promotion that are uniform on all Rutgers University campuses. Rutgers University-Camden is part of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and enjoys full access to an AAU and Research 1 library system. Rutgers University-Camden is located a few minutes from Center City Philadelphia and offers easy access to rich scholarly resources.
