The Bethel University History Department is pleased to announce a non tenure stream full time position for an Assistant Professor of European History to begin in January 2014. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in history with an emphasis in European History. Specialization is open and applicants specializing in Eastern Europe and Russia are also welcome to apply. The position is a 9 month contract with a 4/4 teaching load. The successful candidate will be required to teach three sections (9 hours) of HIS 215 Europe and the World and one upper level course of their design each semester. Additionally, the candidate will also offer 1 section of HIS 201 Human Culture annually. College teaching experience is desirable and a commitment to excellence in teaching and student mentoring is expected.
