Public History/U.S. History. Tenure-track assistant professor to begin August 2014. The person hired is expected to contribute to an established graduate public history program, with the ability to teach the U.S. History survey and upper division and graduate courses in the candidate’s area of specialization. Ph.D. required at the time of employment. The ability to incorporate digital media and methods into both teaching and projects is highly desirable. The field of specialization is open, although the program at OSU has traditionally emphasized museums and historic preservation. Preference will be given to candidates with formal academic training in public history and practical experience with public history projects.
