The History Department of Portland State University invites applications for the position of tenure-track assistant professor of modern European history, post-1800 (excluding Britain, Russia and the history of science), to begin September 16, 2014. We encourage candidates specializing in comparative or transnational history.
Job duties include teaching courses and conducting research in modern European history, and serving on department/university committees. Applicants should have completed a PhD in the relevant field of study by the hire date.
