The History Department of the College of Charleston invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in U.S. and the World, time period open. The successful candidate will teach upper-level courses in his/her areas of interest and training and survey courses in pre-modern and/or modern history. The successful candidate will be able to contribute to interdisciplinary programs, such as the Carolina Lowcountry and Atlantic World Program, Asian Studies, African Studies, International Studies, Jewish Studies, Latin American and Caribbean Studies, and/or Women's and Gender Studies. Candidates must have, or expect to complete, a Ph.D. in History before August 15, 2014.
