The Legal, Ethical & Historical Studies Division of the innovative Yale Gordon College of Arts and Sciences, University of Baltimore invites applications for a full-time tenure track or tenured appointment in Urban & Public History at the open rank, to commence fall semester, 2014. All positions at the University of Baltimore are subject to budgetary approval.
Area of Specialization: Urban & Public History. Areas of competence: Digital Humanities & Experiential Learning.
Requirements: Ph.D. in hand or near completion in Urban & Public History. Candidates must have higher education teaching experience, an active agenda of research or scholarship related to their teaching, and the potential to provide significant service to the Division, College and University.
Primary responsibilities: Teaching a 3/3 or 3/4 annual course load (depending on tenure status and rank), which includes teaching undergraduate courses in the Division, interdisciplinary studies courses within the College of Arts and Sciences, and general education courses within the University.
History Program: The History Program within the Division of Legal, Ethical & Historical Studies offers an undergraduate degree in history, which positions students to pursue graduate work in history, careers in public service and the non-profit sector, and to attend law school.
Division of Legal, Ethical & Historical Studies: The Division of Legal, Ethical & Historical Studies is a multidisciplinary division that offers a graduate degree in Legal & Ethical Studies, and undergraduate degrees in History, Jurisprudence, and Interdisciplinary Studies, as well as a minor in Philosophy.
