NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, The Department of Religious Studies invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor for a specialist in the study of Hinduism beginning September 1, 2014. Candidates may specialize in any time period, but the successful candidate must demonstrate expertise in Classical Sanskrit. Candidates must also combine their research interests with questions of theory and method in the study of religion, and must engage with Buddhist Studies. The successful candidate will contribute to the graduate and undergraduate programs of a religious studies department.
