Tenure-track position in Film & Media Studies, at the rank of assistant professor. The successful candidate will have expertise in Television Studies and additional expertise in film/media theory and/or digital/new media. Courses to be taught will include Intro to TV Studies, Film & Media Theory, Intro to Film Studies, and additional courses in his or her specific area(s) of expertise. Effective August 2014. Ph.D. required. The standard annual teaching load is five courses. The College provides a generous sabbatical leave program and professional development support for both research and teaching. All applications must include the following materials: letter of application as well as separate statements addressing the candidate’s teaching interests and scholarly/performance agenda; curriculum vitae; three letters of reference; graduate transcripts; and teaching evaluations or other evidence of demonstrated or potential excellence in undergraduate instruction. The application should address the candidate’s interest in working at a liberal arts college with undergraduates, majors as well as non-majors, at all levels of instruction.
